Best Carpets?

I'm working on my 64 Mk3 Sprite. The car is Tartan red with deep red matching carpets I'd like to replace. Some of the red carpets I've seen would look ugly against the rest of the trim and if that is all that is available I may just go with black. Anyone know of a source for Tartan red carpets for a Mk3 Sprite??

Kurt.

Moss shows a separate part number for the red in my car so maybe it is the correct color and a better looking one than the carpet's I'm thinking of. I guess I'll see if I can get a sample.

Kurt,
I bought a set of black for my Bugeye from AH Spares and the quality was ok, but not what I was expecting. I will probably go with an upgraded carpet when I get to that point on my TR4a.

Bummer, I was thinking of giving them a try. I've fitted Moss carpets before as well and not been overly impressed.

All the vendors will send swatches. I got about a dozen swatches from five or six vendors. One of the reds from Stock Interiors matched the AH Spares Cherry Red trim the best. Happy with the quality. For top quality I would use Heritage Trim.

This is the Prestige carpet I installed in my Midget after 1 season of use. I only took a few pics of the problem even though there are more places where it came apart. The vendor indicated that it is not his problem since the warrantee time had past. He also indicated it was my fault because I did not purchase his premium grade of wool carpet. He did say I could purchase a replacement piece of carpet. I did save the correspondence that verifies what I am saying.

Even though it was an expensive mistake I believe things have worked out for the best. I have recently purchased a complete top to bottom interior (windscreen, dash top and crash pads, switch plinth, radio console, seats, panels, carpet, and relative parts) for my TR6 from John Skinner instead of the other guy. My new TR6 interior should arrive in the next few weeks.
