BE Nerf Bars

A front bumper was an option (apparently) in Canada and our two bug-eyes are lacking them. Can anyone advise of some sort of nerf bar approach to provide at least a bit of protection (searching the Forum wasn't successful)? Thanks, Doug

My first BE used nerf bars from a VW with the bottom legs cut off. This worked with the forward tilting bonnet. I can get a picture if you want. I think the bars came from JC whitney.....that is how long ago it was!

I know exactly what you are looking for. I was thinking of making some up from a junk yard anti sway bar so that they would spring back after contact. One of many gettoit projects!

Kurt.

Those bumperettes do look nice, but I expect that they're mounted to the nose piece rather than the frame, so wouldn't provide much protection. Sure increases the 'cuteness' factor though. Doug

True that!

Protection is not a word we often here when it comes to Spridgets - just sayin'
