Love Opera?

It's an "E" Healey... "It's this Austin Healey car which was specifically designed for this show with a golf cart motor in it."

Wonder why they did not just go out and rent one like we do here in Holly Wood.???

They should have cheeked in with this forum and found out about a Rotisserie- :highly_amused:

As the prop guy said, they needed one that didn't run on gas. Maybe they checked around and only found regular cars. They also needed to drive it onto the stage so a non-runner suitable for static display wouldn't work either.

Depending on the expected length of the run (and maybe a tour?) they may have wanted to have it around for a long time. Plus, a mostly empty, barely powered, prop could be much lighter and easier to handle back stage and to ship between venues.

I can't believe it. They put the bloody, blasted, #$%&*, spears on backwards. Ah well, that was probably to denote that it is not a REAL Austin Healey.

Yeah PC you spot on:

This is not a movie it is live performance on different stage locations--:encouragement:

I Heard you too Rick:-LOL

I can see us all sitting together at a night at the opera whispering to each other:

"Doesn't sound like a Healey."
"I think it's a kit car."
"The side arrows are on backwards."
"Did you see the door gaps?"
"How come a roadster has a convertible windshield?"

You're crackin' me up, Rick!

There was a piece on the Houston news about this last night - the anchors were admiring the car more than anything else...

. Just got around to seeing the video, I would add to the long list of this is wrong and that is wrong....but the actors seem to be having so much fun! Got a kick out the rigid suspension as they where driving it, reminded me of my TR6 when I first installed "upgraded" road springs! After the springs settled in ..it turned out to be the best handling British car I owned! By the way, those are "correct" door gaps...just the way the factory made them! Lol
