Ok, the reupholstery experience went well, not completely finished, but making good progress. The three main metal components...seat frame, seat bottom, and seat back fit together easy enough and I'm assuming the seat bottom/pan fits in the frame under the 3 tabs in the back of the frame. Also, how much padding/squab should be on the ends of the seat backs where they attach to the seat frame? I'm using new seat bottoms/pans I bought from a CA company for $150/pair and the fit is good as is the quality. Are there any rubber bumpers that go in the 3 tabs the seat back rests on or is it metal to metal/vinyl?
Thanks, Rut

No just metal to metal to vinyl.
Good luck

...Nothing on the tabs, but as I recall, the bottom seat frame originally had a vinyl U-shaped strip the covered the metal where the vinyl made contact so it wasn't against a sharp edge.

The front of the seat frame had a strip of vinyl over it as well that is usually lost.

Kurt.
