After 22 years we decided it was time to part ways with Miss BT, our 1962 AH TriCarb. We put about 75,000 miles on her, mostly since 2000. That is an average of 5,000 per year. Only had one problem and that was driver error when i hit the chunk of concrete in the road and ripped open the oil pan. Otherwise she was a great highway car, two lane or interstate.
I just don't enjoy working on her as much anymore when my knees complain every time i kneel down. Then getting back up vertical becomes a excercise in itself.
So ends a 46 year love affair with Austin Healeys when we have had a driver for many of those years.
We have met many, many wonderful friends over the years at the various regional shows and national Conclaves. I'm sure we'll make a couple of more in a BJ9 along the way.
I'll continue to hang out here and The Pub because i enjoy the company.
