On this sad day...

I just found this old photo on Flickr moments ago... What a fun photo of an Isetta (Paris, 1961)...

Follow the link

The person who posted the photo is also the person who took it, just going through some of his old negatives...

That is delightful. There's an Isetta that shows up at the AACA meet in Hershey almost every year. Always puts a smile on my face, and gets a lot of interest from our kids -- who at 7 and 11 think they should be allowed to drive one, given its relative size. Thank you for the cheer up.

Me too, I had an opportunity to by a Messerschmidt KR200 in drivable shape a few years ago, but didn't since I didn't have any place to keep it. I would still like to own a micro car some time.

The Smart car of yore. Someone should at least make a kit for these. Not that my Midget is much more protection, but I'd be nevious drining one of these, especially around here.

So that's an ISO Isetta? I sort of knew there was something a little different about the appearance of it...

As some of you know I have a fascination with the unusual, and micro cars certainly fit that description...
