I noticed a message on the Jaguar forum lamenting the treatment Chrysler has received at the hands of Mercedes-Benz.

Couldn't help thinking there are parallels with the way Chrysler treated Rootes/Sunbeam during their stewardship.

Hmmmmm, must be in a muckraking mood today.

I know Chrysler wasn't too good to the Rootes group. They did take a big hit with the prolonged dock strike in 64.This is not that I'm in favour of the actions taken. It sure didn't help with the Tiger production.Chrysler just couldn't see selling anything related to Ford. This included performance parts sold at their dealers.I did see drawings of proposed tigers but they looked some how related to the Barracuda.
With that I still bought a Dodge truck.
