But, you'll probably have to sort through all the V8 conversions to find 1 original MGB GT V8 in the US...Paul Kile out in Sacrento has one he's just finished restoring

Yes, I did subscribe to the MG V8 list once upon a time, but it seems to be designed for discussion of V8 conversions, not original factory V8 cars such as mine.

I'm primarily looking for assistance to find parts for these rare birds, and while I am pursuing a UK source or two, I thought that perhaps some stateside owners might be able to advise of some US sources. Thanks.

While I don't have much to offer on the true factory cars, one of our local "celebrity racers" here in the NorthEast races an MGBGT-V8 conversion. I saw him race at Lime Rock a few weeks ago. That would be Storm Field, a CBS-TV weather man. Although Storm is more of a "minor celeb", his Dad, Dr. Frank Field (also a TV weather person), is quite well know in many parts of the country.
It never hurts to have celebrities (even minor ones) affiliated with your marque.
Info on Storm here:

Yes, his name is "Storm".
...and I saw him "storming" along at Lime Rock in his MGBGT-V8 just a few weeks ago.
As I said, I think his Dad (Dr. Frank Field) is much more well-known.
Storm's also a local pilot, so I also occasionally have seen him at the airport.
Here's an old pic of him with other TV news folks. He's in the back row on the right. Other folks in the shot include Tom Snyder, Roger Grimsby and Bill Beutel.

Reid,
Great car. So tell us, did you buy it here in the US or have it imported? Any pictures?
