I've been looking at a 76 TR6 for sale very cheep. It would be a shame to part this out but it's worth a whole lot more parted out. I could use the cash for my next project. I've looked at this car three times now and can't seem to bite the bullet. Car has to be gone by the end of the month because the business owner has sold the property. In AZ it would cost around $300.00 to have the car inspected and given a salvage title.
The bad
Car has been baked in the AZ sun for a long time
Engine is completely disassembled and scattered about
complete front and rear suspension has been removed, so the car must be lifted
Trans and diff removed
no seats or carbs
No OD
all parts unmarked (nuts and bolts)
been off the road since 1984
interior and dash are shot, speedo and tach would need repaired
already have three cars in my three car garage. I could get fit it in but it would be tight
NO TITLE
The good
car looks to be 95% rust free
rust free frame, no damage or cracks can be seen
no signs of accident damage
all trim is present
only rust damage is to the battery box area
left rear fender in the back corner had one bubble that may hide some rust
front and rear bumpers very good shape, no dents or rust, chrome would need redone, not so for the over-riders
panel fit is as good as the factory did
No dents in the body, looks like yellow factory paint all around
What would you do?
