At Casey Key north jetty this afternoon and there was a red Morgan. The owner was there and we chatted. He was from New Jersey and has owned the car since 1965. Rebuilt the TR3 engine once. Looked like original upholstery and had a leather hood strap. He gave me a card from the local British Car Club. They have over 100 cars in the Venice-Sarasota area. Next to him was a new Corvette. There is one prerequisite for owning a Corvette in Florida - you must be 80 years old or over. I told that to the (obviously younger) owner, who denied being 80. I asked him if it was his first and he confessed - it was his 3rd 'Vette and he's owned one since the 1980's. I told him that did not count.
