All the buttons work, the dials work and it was bench tested good! I'm not expecting to get anything but talk radio quality out of it, but looks cool and correct.
And at 3500 RPM, in the wind, with the hood down, you ain't gonna hear it anyways.
Got an OLD radio in The Jag, I usually drive with the windows down and at 3K-3500, can't hear the thing so I turn it off.

I agree, to each his own, but I love the look of a period correct radio as well, didn't some of the old Becker's of that era have an external amp? I ask this because if it does it might have a few more decibels than your typical 60s radio.
Oh, I ain't saying a period-piece doesn't look right. All I was saying is, doesn't matter if it works or not.
Had one of those in my Grandad's MK1 Jag. Head was in the cubby in front of the steering wheel, amp was under the driver's seat. Vibrator tube and all. You knew when it was "on" and the seat vibrated!
Here's a pic of mine with the amp awaiting installation. Mine is a Europa Stereo.
I have 6" speakers in the kick panels. It has a nice, warm tone and sounds great, but I have no idea how it's going to sound once the V8 winds up!
