Apropos of the other thread about tires the shots from behind the Healey and esp. the XK say it all, showing the drift-angles that are so much a part of driving vintage cars on bias-ply racing tires.

I'll be there on Monday. Will try to catch you in your pit. My first trip to LRP was in 1969, when it looked a lot more like the film above than it does know. Skip Barber has really upgraded the place quite a bit, but it's still a wonderful place to spectate.
Always like to see these old films. Square roll bars, almost stock cars and people seeming to have a great time. Fun to see cars like C1 Corvettes out there, not too many of them in today's vintage racing.

If I'm not mistaken, I ran in that Lime Rock driver's school in my TR3. It later got wrecked when my friend tried a few laps and rolled it on the backstretch. Luckily, he was unhurt except for a scraped left arm. No roll bar. The car went over on its side, not all the way over. It was repaired but never raced after that.
