HOOO BOY Got my distributor back today!

After learning about Advance Distributors from the forum and looking at the pile of parts I had and not knowing what worked and what didn't. I called Jeff and talked to him. Next day I packaged it all up and sent it off to him. This was Wed after Memorial Day. Didn't hear from him, so this week I figured I would give him a call to see if he had gotten it. Friday got a call from him telling me it was done! Got it today, YEA!

Shore is purdy! He rebuilt the distributor, replaced a bad advance weight, installed "good" Lucas points. Calibrated it cleaned the vac advance, (PO had painted it black). Reset the curve, and told me to set it at 12 to 14 degrees BTDC.

Thanks to whom ever set me on to him!

jeff did some work for me over the winter and he did a bang up job. i changed quite a few things in my car which led to some issues this spring. we exchanged a few emails as i thought my problems may have been ignition related and his advice was invaluable. it actually turned out to be more of a carb problem, but his product support was fantastic.
i am sure you will be very pleased with his work.

Now if you want to protect and dress that bad boy up a bit, get some Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish (paste in a jar) and rub a little on there and you will be amazed how nice and shiny you can make that housing.

It will also protect it from engine oils.

Not that any Triumph's ever leak oil, but in case you ever spill any.
