Found a bit more knee room in the Tunebug

Took a nice ride around town today--I'm finding all the fun curves in town now. I was noticing that my left knee was pretty much always hitting the door pocket in the driver's door, so I pulled over, grabbed a screw driver, and took off the pocket. Definitely made a difference. I still rub against the door check strap, but my knee has plenty of space now. In a bitty car, every little bit helps.

another way to get some space is make sure ur window cranks are turned so theyre away from ur knees when theyre down....or up in the winter ; )

No window cranks in the Tunebug--hollow doors with sidescreens. Makes for more elbow room, if a bit harder to get the windows up, especially when you leave them at home!

There was someone here that lowered the front part of the floor under the pedals. There is a small dip there from stock, but he cut that out and welded in a lower bit. You can see it on his site here:

The early seats like we have are thinner, which give a few extra bits of space. You might be able to adjust the seat mounts to get the seat moved back as far as possible. Not really much else you can do, but I've found that the Bugeye works pretty well, better than some I've been in, including my old TR4.
