Yeah, that was the idea. I can't wait to install all the pretty shiny bits just to see that effect.

Thanks. Well, we have period correct seats which were reupholstered in black vinyl. Not sure if the grain is correct though. The car came with new black carpet and door cards, but I think the cards are intended for a spitfire looking at the VB catalog. The carpet on the cards doesn't match the pile of the replacement carpet. The rest of the panels I will be making myself. I have already made a headliner using modern black headliner material. I have already redone my dash board. And the non original wood dash that came with it has everything installed. I will probably go with MkII sunvisors, since I can't find a MkI source. Besides, with the headliner they'd need to beblack anyway.
It's kinda sad. I'm going for originality, but there's so much on the car that won't be. I mean the paintjob alone screams "this is a 21st century custom."

I actually have footage of that. Just haven't had the chance to upload any video.

Well that's just what the diff looked like. The nest inside was cone shaped, with the bottom looking like a traditional honey comb. Inside the carbs though were two dead bees, they were about a centimeter in length. My husband said the corpses resembled those of hornets
