Does anyone know if FASPEC is still in business?
The broken Bugeye bonnet I have here has a label on it from them, I'd like to contact them and get some information.
Also, anyone have ideas about replacing the (now) missing headlight bucket?

Cut the other one off and make a smooth nose. Then add in some pop up lights. Simple. Right?

Or contact spridget-tech (Rod?) about making just a headlight pod for you.

Or head over to the prod-racing forum and ask if a racer has one to sell you off of a busted nose.

I'll take a picture later today after work.
Basically imagine tearing off the light pod with about 6" of the bonnet behind it.

I cast a mold of the under taillight piece and then filled the cast with fiberglass and glassed in two carriage bolts for attachment.
This piece would be larger but basically the same idea.
I'll have to seriously consider doing that, or go with Trevor's idea and shave off the other one and make it smooth.
Not sure how I'd work in headlights though the idea is intriguing.

Headlights in the grill like in the original Morris Minor!
BillM

Might work, though they would be very close together.
Not even sure if that would be legal.... But when has that stopped me?:jester::devilgrin::jester:
Someone must have done something like this, anyone know of any pictures?

yea do it the way Healey wanted to originally with a new light set up...This has been done before...I believe the fiberglass deal might still be available....race cars use them for the weight thing....Maybe "Winners Circle" in the upper midwest....

Yes I've been a customer of BPNW.
Since it has their sticker on the inside I wanted to chat with them about it, see who made it and if there was any information.
No luck trying to find any pics of the way "Healey wanted to originally..." set it up. Anyone know where to look for that?

Yea, it was like the first Miata's....7" round fold downs.... word was it was nixed for expense or not enough room under the bonnet...or both

Agreed, however this bonnet is already broken so I can play with it. Worse that happens it becomes a piece of "garage art".
Looking at 1980's Porsche 928 pop up lights, they are nice and round like the Bugeye pods.
