I am seeking both the chrome hex nut that attaches the overdrive switch to the dash as well as the escuchen plate behind the nut. Any assistance appreciated.

I needed the nut for the ignition, and was able to get a used one (in perfect condition) from Healey Surgeons. They keep a stock of odd parts around. It's worth a call.
Hello again Robert. Might be worth a shot to take the switch to a good hardware store, like Ace Hardware. They have a selection of chrome nuts for electrical switches.
Good Luck.
Check with British Miles. The have a tromendous supply of parts dismantled for Briltish cars. Phone number is "1-800-we fix MG" He is a little rushed and can be gruff but seems to have a lot of nice used parts. I think his web is https://www.britishmiles.com
Robert,
I ordered a light switch from Moss and it had the chrome hexagon nut with it and my BJ8 has all round fasteners for the switches. I was able to get a round one so you are welcome to the hax nut I have. My email is johnprogess@comcast.net, if you are interested, let me know I can get it to you. Have a good day!
