ZS carb Mods

Does anyone have any info on ZS carb mods? I know, I know why work with a ZS? Well one reason is I'm retired and I have the time and the other reason is I just like to tinker to see what can be done with something. A few of the ideas I have been mulling over is opening up the throat a bit and polishing the throat. Also I wanted to experiment with matching the carb and intake openings. Just a little experimenting to see what can be done with a standard set up. I also have to find a victim (I mean volunteer) carb to work with.
 
where are you in KY? I have the ZS I replaced on my LE.
 
I'm out on the Southeast corner of the state about 30 miles from the Va. state line.
