A fellow volunteer at New England Air Museum brought in a photo he took back in 1936, when New England was visited by a new zeppelin, the LZ-129. The "Millionaire's Flight" took wealthy passengers to the skies, to enjoy the foliage of October.
Here's a home movie of that same visit, where people climb onto the roof of the Travelers Insurance company in downtown Hartford to get a better view. You can also make out the state capitol in the background.
You probably know this airship by another name. Look for the national insignia on the aft stabilizers.
