ZDDP [Old issue], BUT!

A friend of mine here in Calgary sells an oil additive that addresses this issue and he is quite active at local car shows raising his concerns (he owns a 1960's Imperial)... https://www.camoils.com/

Actually according to Bob, any vehicle older than 1996 is effected, even though they are not defined as <span style="font-style: italic">classic</span>

I agree, as the old technology applied to most all vehicles of that era. With very few exceptions, most all had solid lifters and soft valve seats. One exception being the Willis Knight, which had rotary valves, a major downfall. Some antique aircraft are also affected and that can become extremely expensive to overcome. PJ
 
Thanks for that; didn't know BP owned Castrol.

We aint too fond of BP 'round these here parts.
