Your "Real" E-Bay dream car

That is some ad. And people are bidding. Not much of course but bidding.

I don't know, looks kind'a like something my ex-wife would drive. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

well... at least he's honest... I don't think he'll have any problems with "misrepresentation" of the item being sold... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif heheh

The shot of the ash tray full of cigatette butts is a nice touch.

Like I said the full “A. S. H. Receiver” is something that comes standard with my ex-wife’s car.

I still remember one of the most miserable driving experiences I ever had was when I drove none-stope from Denver to Michigan to visit some of the wife’s family in the middle of January. Bone chilling cold outside but the ex was chain smoking the whole way with the window open and three screaming kids in the back about how cold it was.

Note I said “one” of the worst – the worst was the return voyage. While in Michigan my oldest son (then 6) got into his uncle’s barn and spilt some of his “deer lure” sent! Any hunters will know what I’m talking about - when I say no scrubbing or any amount of second hand cigarette smoke will kill that unholy stench. Only good thing is we must have took two hours off of the return trip.

I still get the shutters when I think back on those days. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif

Had a similar experience driving a cargo truck from LA to Denver. My co-driver was a chain smoker and easily 350 pounds if not more. He barely fit into the cab, literally. Anyway, he insisted on smoking even though I told him to wait for stops because he couldn't make it 20 minutes without lighting up. Most of the smokes he lit would just sit there and burn down while he held them.

Finally, crossing the rockies I got my revenge. Every time he lit one up I would roll the windows fully down. It was about 10-degrees F outside and this guy would shiver any time it was below 70F. He was so incredibly miserable that he would suck those cigarettes down as fast as possible and then immediately roll up his window. I would leave my window down for two minutes to "air it out" while he shivered, complained and watched the clock waiting for the magic 2-minutes to come up. Oh sweet, sweet revenge. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

" this steaming pile of excrement that calls itself a car "
I always thought that was what a Renault was designed to be! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

I believe the proper jargon for describing a car like that is a "shed". Ooofah!

Funny, I've never quite understood how people can just fill the passenger compartments of their cars up with trash. I mean, my Honda CRX in particular used to collect stuff, but I usually kept things in the trunk or the storage space behind the seats, but not strewn all over! I work with a couple of people who have tons of junk in their cars, empty pop cans, food wrappers, newspaper, who knows what else.....I'd rather walk, frankly!

Sad thing is that the a-hole will go buy another perfectly good car & abuse it....hope his next victim isn't an MG!

It has climbed all the way to $37.20.

Wouldn't it be funny if the real car was some immaculate vehilce worth tons of money - just backwards of what a lot of eBay listers do with their cars - great pictures and description , rotten car.

Have you read ALL of the questions asked to the seller? Some are quite funny.

I had a Renault once. A Fuego Steaming pile of excrement is a good description. The wipers stopped working once on a trip to Baltimore. The wife had to hang out the window to move the wipers back and forth so I could see the road /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

He's in Peckham. I always wondered what Del boy moved up to after the Reliant. Now I know.

(US Readers - do a google search on "Only Fools and Horses")

"New York - Paris - Peckham" written on the side of his Reliant van, I remember that well. Lovely series. Why can't they come up with something as good over on this side of the pond? Lovvly Jubbly!

Is this woman still married to you?
I always thought that a car rally should be part of a marriage test - if you can still be civil after it,you'll
probably make it!

OMG... the questions are HILARIOUS... one I just came across... *snicker*

Q: The ashtray seems to have a small capacity, do you know if I can upgrade it?

A: sure, i know some guys in Deptford who can soup it up to a massive 1670cc; enought to hold 240 cuban cigar butts. That's a lot of smoking. I'll put you in touch if you win.
