Watch out for the phishermen!! I had some "false" emails supposedly from Paypal...promply forwarded them directly to Paypal, who confirmed their bogus natuer and thanked me for giving them the link!!
I had that happen the other day when buying something off of e-bay. It was looking for a bank account. However, then I noticed a spot to click onto for an alternative way to pay, and my credit card reference came up.
Click on "My Stuff" then click Subscriptions. Then click "Subscribe Now" link next the the level you want. Then click continue until you get to the Paypal site. This Paypal page should have a login if you have a Paypal Account. If not you will see a link below the login area that says Pay with Credit or Debit Card. Click that and it will allow you to pay with a credit or debit card. It will ask for the card number but not your bank account number.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE A BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER UNLESS YOU WANT TO! I DID PROVIDE A BANK ACCOUNT INFO FOR MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT BECAUSE THAT WAY I CAN AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFER MONEY FROM MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO MY BACK ACCOUNT. BUT!! IF YOU FOLLOW THE STEPS I OUTLINED ABOVE, AND GO THROUGH OUR SUBSCRIPTION SYSTEM, AND CLICK "USE A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD" WHEN YOU GET TO THE LOGIN SCREEN, IT WILL NOT ASK YOU FOR A BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER. I JUST DID IT AS A TEST AND IT DID NOT ASK FOR ANYTHING BUT MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER.
Sorry Basil but that only works if you have a balance available. I used my 10K long ago and they will not speek to me unless I give them bank info or use their credit card.
