That's pretty amazing stuff, and the prices are quite reasonable. Nice to see this stiff being made, more help to keep our little cars on the road.

Stage 3 for 10,205.45 sounds a bit expensive to me. Even top cars can be found for that....
 
It seems expensive, but I guess if you want a perfect shell, this soon will be a viable alternative. The selection of restorable bodies is going to dry up sooner than later. As Drew said, the more parts out there the better, let somebody else pay the price.

Prices in the UK tend to be higher. Practial Classics Magazine rates an "average" Frogeye at ÂŁ4500 and an "excellent" one at ÂŁ8000.

Heritage bodyshells for later Sprites are ÂŁ3650; for MGBs, ÂŁ4200; and just the chassis and inner body for a Big Healey is around ÂŁ8000. All plus VAT at 17.5%....
 
However, you get the VAT back if you export.

Just wondering... would sales taxes and/or import duties be charged on imports into the USA?

The British do- an import duty of 10% and then VAT on both the original cost AND the import duty... taxes on taxes!

Enough to incite me to have a "Tea Party"....
 
Is an import duty I think. Maybe not on parts, not sure.
 
Last thing I got from the UK had $64 added to it that I had to pay at the Huntsville International Airport customs office before I could get it.
 
Anything (over a certain vale, I think 250 pounds) imported that is usually taxed in this country has an 'excise duty' placed upon it.
It's an incremental, charged based upon the value not exceeding $10k.
