Yipiee! Turn Signals!

One thing that has been intermittent on my 2000 Corvette is the turn signals! I have had the new relay for months but the manual says you have to take the dash top off completely to access the switch/relay. Well, I dreaded the idea of taking the entire dash top off as it is NOT a simple task. But I found a post on the Corvette forum about a method of removing the relay/switch without taking the dash top off. I just had to remove the front fascia and take out the radio, then I was able to "knock" the relay with a hammer and large screw driver and snake it down through the radio opening. It took about two hours to complete the job. Oh, as an aside, the failing relay was Lucas made, no kidding. So at least one part of my Corvette in made in England!

Turn signals?

Do people still use those? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Been my contention for years: signals appear to be an option on new cars and most folk would rather go for a 'trim package' instead of payin' for signals. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

You mean your finger was stuck under the dash. Darn finger, tough to find good turn fingers today.
