Yet another road trip.

It looks like I'll be driving to Florida again. I'll be heading out around 2am in the morning headed to Orange Park to pick up another Midget. The good news is this one's in good running order so I can drive it until I'm ready to do a little paint work.

My main goal was to get a Midget/Sprite that I could drive while I put the Bugeye back together and I think that this one is up to the task. Here's a picture of it as it sits.

The current owner is a very nice guy who has worked very hard to repair any mechanical issues that he's found. At this point the car just needs some paint work.

Let me know what you guys think!

I think you should drive it to Illinois and leave it in my garage for a while, I'll take good care of it!
Looks a goodun. CB and RWA, love it.

or take a detour to toronto and I will even drive you back home (always did want to go back to Myrtle beach again) LOL

That car has some of the sidemarker lights/trim from my car! I sent them to him last fall. Small world!

What do people know about that exhaust system? Looks stock but chopped off at the 90 degree and painted black? I like it.

I think Ben is getting the Tony touch. He finds all this nice stuff.

Impressed (and a trifle jealous). Nice looking Midget, hope it's as good in person. Wish I had space for a spare car too...

So... I guess you are going to be selling a parts car to Hap?

My my goodness a parts car with a 1275 and a ribcase transmission. What a good deal.

So how does the '71 look/run?

Well I just got home and gave everyone a ride around the neighborhood.

Heres the short story:
I left yesterday afternoon at 3:30pm, picked up the car around 11pm, headed home right at midnight, had a blowout around 4:15am, got back on the road around 5am, Made it home at 9:30am. So that eighteen hours straight not to mention I got up at 5 am Sat morning.

Been a long weekend guys but I'll post some pictures of it all this afternoon after I take a small nap. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

OK, I'll check back in 15 minutes.
