Nigel (77 MGB) is being joined by an 04 Disco that is yet to be named (though I shall call her Blackie for now).

So after I sell my Mazda truck then I will be fully British in the garage.

Time will tell which of them will earn the role of support vehicle.

Congrats! Been an owner of a D1 for 10 years, some problems but nothing serious yet. Have a bunch of stuff ordered to renew it. Have had an 88 RRC and a 96 P38 4.6 Range. Good picture in front of the fuel marquee at 342 a gal. Remember the 04 will deliver optimum performance and fuel mileage on premium fuel, some have used lesser fuel but you will need additives occasionally. Welcome to the lifestyle of a Land Rover, they aren't just vehicles, but a lifestyle ( it is British )!

Thanks Larry. That picture was in California where I purchased it but I live in Dallas and Costco's price for high grade is $2.25 this week. Besides I am going through a lifestyle change that has cut my round trip commute for work from 100 miles per day to under 10 miles per day

Congrats. Which engine does she have in her?

Thanks Sir, Gertrude has the 4.6 V8.

She's a high octane Jezebel though, I have verified the 12 city mpg, unfortunately - lol.

Strongly recommend that you shop for and purchase a quality aftermarket extended warranty plan. Mileage and time repairs on the LR's can be EXPENSIVE...

I recommend see if you can get Warranty Solutions or if you have a LR dealer nearby there Aegis/Apco/EasyCare(they handle the LR extended warranty) is acceptable.
