Yellow Turner Usk A472, Lotus Elite M5, & more....

Last weekend on our summer drive down to South Wales from Bonnie Scotland was more enjoyable than usual:

Started with a TR4A on the M6, then we pulled off for a break; rejoined the M6 and passed it again, but it had picked up a TR2 (I think)....

Further down the M6 found a brace of Karman Ghias, and then a third- from the early 60s with lots of chrome....

A Midget on the M5 and a forlorn Austin A30 owner looking for assistance to arrive....

An Alfa 2000GTV and a modern Ferrari or two....

And then on the M5 a Lotus Elite Mk 1 in racing paint on a trailer...

I thought that made my day for rare and unusual, then driving into Usk on the A472 we passed yellow Turner....

And, of course, the usual, run-of-the-mill modern Bentleys and Astons...

Funny thing, coming back Saturday all I saw was a Spitfire (again leaving USk on the A472- wonder what's with that place that drives the old cars out?) and then a MGB GT trailered on the M6 southwards....

It's summer and they're out. Same over here.

Saw a forlorn MGB roadster at my local hardware store (I was in Miata). Plus, waved at an MGB/GT (from my MGB) and saw a Sprite Mk 1, MGA and Austin Bantam (US version of 7) at a local car show.
Also, nice ALFA Spider at traffic light last week and TR6 on local road (a friend of mine).
And saw two MGBs (both rubber-bumper) for sale.

I'm a great fan of Turners.....race with several of them.
