I nominate everybody---everybody is good here, and all your cars look good,
Wow! did this post get cleaned up from when I logged in a couple days ago. As I had said you cant even politely say the way it is on this forum (unless you belong to the clique)---Censorship is alive in this warm and fuzzy forum.------The clique (you know who you are) prevails
Although I do have to say very good pics and info on the diff.

I don't know what your problenm is buddy, but your snide comments are not appreciated. Whether you know it or not, this is a private forum in which I have invested thousands - literally thousands of my own dollars and God only know how many thousands of hours to make it a friendly place where people who enjoy little British cars can converse in a civil, friendly fashion. I suppose its easy for someone who has not expended the $$ and time that I have to sit back and take cheap shots. I do my best to make this forum a friendly, non-confrontational place - I don't give a rats behind how any other forums on the internet are run.

As for censorship - I have locked or deleted less than 1/4 of 1 percent of topics in the seven years I have been running BCF - that because MOST people don't have an issue with following the rules here. The particular thread in question was removed at the request of the person who started the thread, and I obliged them. Period.

The botton line is, if you are not happy with the manner in which I run this PRIVATE forum, which I provide to you for FREE, then you probably should consider moving on - I am confident that the other 8347 members will manage without you.

Allan:

Censorship had not a darned thing to do with the thread
being deleted by Basil.

I started the deleted thread and it was ME who requested,
yes politely, that Basil delete the thread in it's entirety.
The thread was going nowhere and had become ugly.

The thread got deleted because it needed to be deleted.
Punta- al fin!

Dale Looking at you with the green MG cap above, are you going for MG-ookie of the year also? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Good call Easy.

Dale, what's up with the MG hat? You have an endorsement from them or something?

Tony sends them out with his parts orders. I think that is how Mr. Barnhill is trying to convert us Rumphies to the dark side. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Mr Browsky,

With all due respect, sir; It was my fervent belief;
Mr. Barnhill had sent me a new fishing cap for use
on my boat Tres Gatos. When fighting 80# yellowfin
tuna or 100+ # tarpon you need to wear a special cap.
I was on my way to my boat right after I torqued the
dizzy dog 180 degrees.

My dizzy now looks like everyone else's dizzy. The
car will no longer run because I cannot set the timing.
The advance ear hits the engine block before correct
timing can be attained. But the dizzy "LOOKS" nice.

felicidades,

d

Dale - pullleeeeze tell us you're kidding ... The consensus was that if the car's running great, then don't touch a thing!

He's such a FUSS. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Dale, the rotational position of the body on the dizzy doesn't matter: it's where #1 firing on the cap is in relation to the cam/dog/#1 piston stroke. You can put the body to about any position to have the points ~just~ open as the rotor points to #1 "pin" onna cap. Only change you should need to make is to juggle the wires in the cap to have opposite firing positions from where they WERE. 1,5,3,6,2,4, with #1 in the opposite position on cap from Pedro's setup.

You could be a tooth off with the dog, too.

Well Doc, it's like this:

After 23 months of labor and a gazillion $$ spent
on parts and lift rentals; I finally have a car
that I can drive more than ten miles without it
dropping dead under me.

So my dizzy looks a bit weird? That's cool by me.
Same thing has been said about the owner on many
occasions. (Although personally, I see nothing curious
about wearing orange shoes.

On Topic- I'm still trying to get down to white metal
on the "new" differential. I'm guessing I will not paint
it black.

Felicidades,

d

Let's see the orange shoes!!

I wear the orange shoes during the summer construction
season. It is now winter and I must wear warmer shoes
on my construction projects.

It's about those winter boots. And, no, they don't
make your heels look big.

Dale: Listen, I just posted a commitment to rebuild and/or
repair my engine. OOOOOOhhh, scarey. But, I think
I can do this with the help of the Forum.

First, will you help me by telling me what software
you use to get all those great pics with arrows and
stuff. I want some of my posts to look at least similar
in quality to yours. Course, I'll never look as cool
as you, what with the boots and all....
but, hey, I'm a waannbee.

(hear background music playing...Sonny and Cher...
