XK150 FHC Test Drive

A few hours ago I went for a short test drive in an early XK150 FHC that has been converted to 'S' plus specs. I built a nice 3.8 with lightweight clutch and flywheel , mild cams , balanced etc. I added a full syncro overdrive , limited slip diff , 8" servo boosting Wilwood calipers. But I think the nicest addition is the Vicarage power steering. Now the brakes , clutch and steering are easy enough for most anyone to handle. This car started this restoration as an incomplete and neglected Jaguar. Weather permitting , I will take it out this sunday morning for real 'dial-in' sessions.

I learned to drive in an XK150 FHC when I was 12 years old!
