I have a friend that is selling his 140. It had been in a fire so most aluminum parts were melted. bonnet, doors, boot, have replacements. Carbs are gone but the rest of the engine and manifolds are still there. Cockpit is empty. Seats, surrounds, guages, dash, all gone.

Frame is great, Steel body pieces need some dents beat out. Numbers on Engine match the car number.

Currently wants $6000 for the hulk. Anybody have any idea if this is a reasonable price?

He is going to advertise it in the San Francisco paper this weekend.

He ought to put it on EBay and set the reserve for 6k. Is it a Fixed Head Coupe, a Roadster, or a Drop Head Coupe? The Drop Head is the most valuable, the Fixed Head the least - generally.

It is a roadster. I would love to restore it but the body work and missing pieces are more than I want to take on.

I will give him the suggestion on ebay. If nothing else, someone could buy a good title, engine, tranny, and frame.
