XK 140 Fuel Gauge

I have three wires going to the fuel gauge, one for the tank, one for the battery and one for the warning light. However there are no markings on the back of the gauge as to where the wires go. There's a post in the center and one each at 10 o'clock and one at 2 o'clock. Any ideas? Mac

I'm not sure I'm understanding what you say, when you say one for the "battery".

Are you ssying you know what the wires coming to the tank are for, each one, just need to know which posts/terminals they attach to?

on an XK150,center is green yellow 2o'clock is 2 greens and 10 o'clock is gren black -looking from the back of the gauge

Same on 55-57 MK1, looks like all models prior to E and MK2 were wired that way ( as per above post ).
