XJS AutoTrans and Differential Fluid Change

My 93 XJS has 90K miles on it. I've only owned it for 1 Year and I'm going to change the Trans fluid / filter and the Differential lube. The book says they should both be changed every 30K miles. At a auto show the Amsoil rep raved about how great the product was and they have both Trans fluid and Differential lube. Has anyone used Amsoil in these applications? I don't want to be the first one to take the chance. My trans makes a wherlling sound that I here when driving slow or stoped. I was going to change the trans fluid/filter myself, but a trans shop would know what to look for. (maby??)

Amsoil products are supposed to be pretty good. The Trans in the XJS is a glorified Chevy 400 trans. Dexron III or a good synthetic will be good. GL-5 lube 75-90 for the diff plus modifier. Check with Amsoil to see if they have the modifier in the lube. The modifier is for the limited slip properties of the diff. or you will get a vibration from the diff as the unit will slip.
