XJ-S Short circuit

I'm having a problem with my 89 XJ-S. There is a short circuit on the fuse going to the rear brake lights. The circuit diagram that I have doesn't show the fuse panel. What else does this fuse go to besides the brake lights? TIA

Hi Joe, First What else does not work?? Next you can go over to the Jag Lovers Forum and down load or view the factory schematic. Take a gamble and remove the bulb in the lamp fixture and see if the short clears.-FWIW-Keoke

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I've done some more digging and it's not a dead short. There's something that is drawing about 15 amps. The only other thing that doesn't work is the hazard flasher, which makes sense according to the schematic. I've pulled the stoplight bulbs even though that can't be the problem as the short is there without the brakes applied. I'll check the Jag Lovers site and see if I can find the factory schematic. Looks like it'll be a while before I get this car on the road for the first time.
