Sorry to bomb the Jaguar list but I do value your input and advise.
An aquaintance in the Healey community is seriously seeking a well turned out series one XKE(1956-1967) roadster. A bonus if it is primrose yellow. I owe this fella a favour and would like to help him find a few candidate cars. He is located in Florida but would be willing to transport. If any Jaguar club members know of such an example for sale please contact me off list. He is not seeking restoration jobs, only good, solid, proper examples. Some one out there must be tired with their now completed project, ready to take on a new one and pass the completed one to a good home alongside a Healey.

Dare I say it? EBay is a good source of such cars. Also, the XKE wasin't in production until 62, so you probably meant 62-67.

Sorry to be a fusspot, but weren't the first Es built in 1961?
E-bay is a good suggestion but watch for body cancer on early cars.....I can't think of any production car that's more difficult to repair properly in terms of chassis/body.

Tecnically, yes, it was introduced in 61, but I "think" the first year of full production was 62. Ok, so look for 61-67 (but those very early cars, e.g., the flat-floor 61's with outside bonnet latches would probably set you back a kings ransom.
