The things are built like tanks, it's likely nothing will come apart on ya. The worn control arm bushings would allow the front-end geometry to shift around, it'll wear tires "funny" and may be harder to keep the car going down the road in a straight line.
The lower control arms can (in extreme cases) be wallowed out by the through bolts at the outer ends, usually because of poor maintenance: lack of grease.
Worn sway-bar bushings will usually just make "klanking" noises on cornering or over rough road.
The bronze kingpin bushings are another issue entirely... to replace those requires a reaming tool and press work.
