For the first time since 1967, the World Scout Jamboree is being held here in the US. 45,000+ Scouts from 160+ countries will be converging on the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia for 2 weeks of fun and adventure. My son will be attending as part of Unit 333. I was selected to be part of the International Service Team on the Aquatics SCUBA crew. We will be introducing SCUBA to 20,000+ Scouts from around the world. Should be an amazing experience for all, scouts and adults alike. To me, this is my "Olympics" and a once in a lifetime event. Super excited - and a touch nervous. I've never participated in an event of this magnitude before. And before someone says it - there WILL be pictures to follow.
