The week long even known as the Monterey Historics is one of the most famous automotive speed festivals in the world. Made up of several events like the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, and now the World Class Automotive Film Festival.

The World Class Automotive Film Festival is the first event of its kind that offers the automotive enthusiasts a chance to watch some of the greatest automotive films ever made. In a field of events that can cost as much as $600 to attend the film festival is offering a 3 day all inclusive pass for just $50.00* it is one of the best values at Monterey. Held in the historic Golden State Theater the event also includes an art gallery and a curated shop that features products related to the films. Plus you get to see Le Mans on the big screen!

I went on Saturday and it was great-- I think it could have used some more publicity, but the new documentary "1" was great and I hope it gets at least as much exposure as "Senna" did a few years ago.

I hope they do something like this again next year. I'm surprised they didn't come up with this (running racing movies during Car Week) years ago!
