Workshop air purifiers

I work on my cars in an attached garage. Whenever I use any solvents, paints, or other stuff with any odor, the smell gets into the house. My wife and daughter are sensitive to the smells.

Has anyone found/built some type of purifier that can filter out the bad smells? Something more than the little room purifies.

I know, leaving the door open works best. But in the summer it's a real sweat box, and during the winter the temperature gets below the recommended range for many paints, etc.

Any suggestions would be welcomed, except for building another garage.

Thanks

I've not found anything that works well enough to keep the smells out of the house. When I plan on doing something particularly smelly I tape off the door to the garage to keep the smells from getting in to the house.

The only way to reasonably vent is through the garage door.

Depends on your situation of course; I have a "powered attic vent" installed through the side wall that sucks out odors pretty good.
