FINALLY going to make it to the Goodwood Revival (Goodwood, UK) next September. Been meaning to go for years but the timing was always wrong. My wife and I will be visiting dear old friends there... and there will a good group of 8 of us going on Sunday, September 14th. The tickets have arrived and look like antiques themselves! [important to get them far in advance]

After that, we'll pop over to Beaulieu (national automotive museum). I've haven't been there since 1998, and I understand it's been remodeled. Of course, the ladies will be touring the Montagu estate as an alternative activity. :friendly_wink:

MAJORLY JEALOUS!!!!! I hope you have a great time!

Me too, jealous that is. Make really great memories and listen to the boss - photos and video please.

Have nearly gone to the Goodwood Festival of Speed (typically in early July), but all the friends over there say to hit the "Revival" instead. You can actually rent vintage clothing if you have a mind to. Evidently, the number of cars and plane is amazing... and there is the racing too.
I'd love to spend 2 days there, but we figure the wives won't be interested in that much car-show stuff. :frown-new:

That is way cool Mark.... can't wait to see the pics.
Have fun!

I went to the Revival in 2012-what an event! It was all I had thought it would be and more. Imagine 15 or so Ferrari 250 GTO's in a row in the paddock or 20 real Cobras....Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes (you will be on your feet all day long) and wear period clothing. I wore a tweed suit jacket, necktie, and a hat. Wearing period clothing gets you access to the paddocks. Make sure you walk around the parking lot reserved for those who drive classics. It is a show in itself. Next time I will pay extra for a seat in the grandstand just to have a place to sit for awhile and I will go for at least two days-there is so much to see I could not do it all in a day.
Not sure when you will arrive in England but the weekend prior to Goodwood is the Fall Autojumble at Beaulieu. The largest swap meet in Europe and a great place to find parts. Have fun! Eric

Thanks Eric. Supposedly, our tickets will allow grandstand access... and we plan to bring at least a little period clothing.
Great shots.
As for the fall Autojumble, a buddy is trying to get us to go, but my wife isn't nearly as keen on it. So, at the very least, we'll hit Beaulieu right after Goodwood.

I did the Goodwood Festival of Speed back in 2000, or maybe 2001. In a word, it was spectacular. Pure sensory overload is the only way to describe it. I'd imagine the Revival will be similar or even better. Enjoy!
