Wooden luggage rack

Hello,
A while back someone posted a picture of their homemade oak luggage rack. I think it was shown on a a TR4. What I liked best about it was that not holes had to be drilled into the body. I believe there was a racke that bolted into existing license plate holes on one end. I am not sure how the rack was secured on the other end. If someone has a picture of this or plans, I would really appreaciate either.

I remember that one. The front of the rack was attached to brakets which were secured under the boot lid hinges.

I bought one of the real nice racks from England a while back for my wife's Bugeye Sprite, but never got around to putting it on. She finally decided that she really doesn't really like it, because she doesn't want it on the car all the time, nor does she want holes drilled into the rear now that the body is almost completed. Since there is no boot lid, I will have to improvise a little. Too bad I couldn't use the rack on my TR6 - it is a nice rack.

Seriously, that method of attachment was also used on stock ready-made luggage racks for the TR4 -- the layout of the hinges and license plate bolts and the way the bootlid reaches down to form the back of the body made it work on the Michelotti TRs.

Attached is a pic of the original-style rack as offered by Moss, et al.

TR3s also had a 'no holes' luggage rack mount but that required the use of suction cups or rubber feet for the rearward posts. Not as elegant a solution as the '4.
