Woo-hoo! MG to the rescue!

Today I took the MG out for a 50 mile drive through our New England fall color. MG didn't miss a beat; really enjoyed the ride.

But on the way home, I saw a Honda Shadow motorcycle parked at the side of the road. A friend of mine had broken down, and he was pulling it apart trying to get it started.

Can you believe it - I had my (old) MG tools and a battery cable with me, and got the guy's Honda running again. Electrical problems.

Probably one of the few times in automotive history that a sixty year old car has rescued a five year old motorcycle.

(Have to admit - I sure do enjoy my TD.)

Awesome!

(As long as you don't rescue a Triumph with the MG...)

Right across the street from where I married my lovely bride 40 years ago. Beautiful TD and what a perfect time of year to be driving it through all that picturesque scenery of the Quiet Corner.

Does she ride a Honda Shadow?

It is possibly the first time in the history of the world that two vehicles were parked on the side of the road with one of them broken down with electrical issues and it wasn't the British one.
