I also installed a new SunFast top on my TR6 and did a great job, I think. Installed it in an 90 degree closed garage, stretched it to the endth degree, looked great, and a week later it shows considerable sag. I guess I will just restretch from the front. Any tricks to getting these cloth-vinyl-cloth tops to stop giving??? It does look really good on the car, better than my old vinyl top.

will miss The Gras (Mardi Gras)

Hi, last time we talked I suggested fiberglass, but if you still dont want to try it on your top, well then how about this trick, that I use with some success. Get a big spray bottle filled with hot water. Cover the seats with towles then park your car in the hot sun. Then spray to soak the inside of your top, should effect a slight shrinkage as it bakes in the sun. Do not let the water dry on the plastic windows. This is done with the top erected.

I finally solved the sag in my new SunFast top. I unglued the front of the top off the header rail, restretch it about an inch and everything is fine now. Those tops don't stretch as easily as the vinyl tops, but do their sagging later.
