Does any one purchase the windshield for BN7 from British Victoria, the price (on sale) is great but they can't tall me brand or type of glass.
I'm assuming it's SafeVue with clear film on the inside, hopefully I'm wrong...
Thanks
Tom

Thanks for this interesting link but I'm worry that windshield my not fit my BN7-they list it for "1956-1968 Austin Healey 100/6 and correct me if I'm wrong but BN's and BJ's models use slightly different ones.
I'm going to contact Pilkington to find out more about it.
Thanks

Tom:
Go to Healey Surgeons and you will get the proper item

Just find out that Healey Surgeons windshield is an aftermarket not a Triplex Did any one use one from them, is it a two layer glass and whats more important how is the fit?

The BN6 & 7s use the same flat windshield as the BN4 and BT7; the BJ7 & 8s uses a different, curved glass.

Anytime I feel there's confusion about something I want to order from a website, I make a phone call and try to speak to a human. At the Pilkington link above, I couldn't "add" the green tinted windshield to "my cart" to see if it would prompt a drop-down menu, allowing one to specify the correct glass for fitment. If I was actually trying to buy, they'd be getting a phone call.

Call and ask Bruce or Inan

This is a rather late response regarding the windshields sold by Victoria British. I purchased a windshield from that firm during a sale and subsequently installed it on my 1960 BN7. I used that firm's rubber mounting strip that secures the windshield in the slotted frame. This can be a bit tedious, but I soon learned to tape down the exposed edges of the rubber strip as the windshield entered the channel. I also purchased the four metal angle brackets that secure the corners of the channels. I found that I had some gapping where the frame pieces met, a position dictated by the position of the holes in the angle pieces. Can't remember exactly how many pieces I had to alter, likely two. I did this by threading screw stock into the two adjoining holes on one side of the two brackets where I had gaps, swaging them tight with a small hammer. I then re-drilled and tapped the two new holes so that the corners were drawn together snugly. Might add that I found I had many small screws with the same thread as the corner bracket require in my screw accumulation. They are a common thread and appear to have been from electrical works of some unremembered kind. They even have flat heads like those included with the angle braces, though the heads are slightly smaller in diameter. Finally, the windshield I received from Victoria British was excellently packaged and received undamaged.
