Wiring tips for spot lights

When I installed a pair of fog lights on my BJ8, I used a relay to get power to them. I replaced my panel switch (guage lights) with a regular light switch and used the second position of that switch to power the fog light relay. The first position of the new switch powered the instrument lights. I pulled power prior to the fuse box that went through the relay to the fog lights but I added a fuse for it.

Shorns method is the method I also use and recommend for the driving light power system.Switched power for the relay can be obtained at the starter solenoid via a 15A slow blow protective fuse.---Keoke
