I've got a 1960 Bugeye with an 1100 engine.

We are going to get the car ready for paint, including the removal of the engine and the dashboard. I'm seriously considering replacing the existing wiring harness with a new one. I see the Moss sells one (356-100), so here are my questions:

- Will the replacement harness hook up to the 1100 engine?
- Is the harness offered (356-100) sufficient for the job?
- Has anyone used this harness before? What has been your experience?

No worries Mike. I think I am installing the same harness. I bought the harnes a few years ago, however, if it is in fact the same harness, all is going as planned.

Good one, don't forget the dimmer switch harnes as well.
 
I asked this question a few months ago before I joined BCF, and the responses were:

- Only replace it if you NEED to. In my case I wrongly thought I'd have to replace it in order to convert from pos-earth to neg-earth.

- Consider other vendors such as British Wiring - https://www.britishwiring.com - I think they have an offering that is more exactly like the original.
 
I've posted (probably way too much) on this before, but I redid my Bugeye after I got it with one from British Wiring. I highly recommend them. I still had the original 948, positive ground, and mechanical fuel pump, so I was able to use a completely stock harness. I'm putting a 1275 in it this summer, but don't figure I'll need all that much in the way of changes to make it work.

The folks at British Wiring were very nice and helpful, and made sure I got all the bits that I needed to make it work. Price was pretty comparable to the Moss harness, and I am more than pleased with the end result.
