Wires stuck in stator tube

Well fifty years of road gunge, rust and who knows what else have caused the wires to become totally jammed in the stator tube of my TR2. Any idea how to get them out????? I've exhausted all avenues of brute force and sprayed a whole can of lube into the thing. Stuck fast.

Hmmm, any way you can pull them back down? I'll assume you're trying to pull out the wires and control head from the steering wheel? Most of these will have had the "bullet" connectors on the bottom, and it's virtually impossible to pull the group of four wires up if the bullet connectors aren't "staggered" somewhat.

It might be best to (ouch) cut or otherwise undo the wires at the control head and then find some way to "ram" what's left down? I'm going here on the assumption that you'll want to replace the wires with new.

Pull the one with the most slack,it should be the closest to the top.If not braze the ends of brazing rod together, clean the joint and push backward down the tube against the wires as you pull up on ONE wire.
