i put he new alt. in and things seemed to be going well for a bit. then i blew a fuse and traced the problem to my wiper switch. if i just switch the fuse it would bust in seconds. with the wipers unplugged it ran well.i was heading back out to utica for work and i hear some gut wrenching sounds from the motor, like the starter was engaging on and off. i had a remote starter hooked up so i pulled over fast and pulled it off but the noise kept up. i pulled off the road to a safe spot and looked again at the starter hook ups and i saw the dreaded smoke. now nothing. i put a new wiper switch and a new ignition harness part in ( i was picking it up on the way back any way)
i get power at the relay and the starter but it wont turn. my dad is thinking the starter solenoid is done. i have a new gear reduction starter im waiting to put in. any other thoughts??
moss doesnt sell lucas smoke in a bottle any more right?
