Wire Wheels

Since being a forum member I have read many posts about new wheels. I would like to share my experience with the group.
After recieving my new British Wire Wheels (just the fronts, still saving up for the backs) and tires I could not believe the difference in the ride. I had attributed most of the stiff ride to the design of the car. I have done a lot of repair and refurbishing to the front end over the last couple of years but the ride was still a bit rough. I was runing between 20 and 22 lbs. in the front ( this is right around the old book pressure) and this seemed to help. After putting on the new tires and wheels and now with 28 psi the ride was silkie smooth. The shakes are gone the ride is very improved I now run normal (objective) tire psi. The point of all of this is that a major difference in how the car handels, rides and feels can be attributed to the tires. This is a basic concept at best but proved out to be factual.
