Wire wheel splines ?

Are the MGB wire wheel splines the same as a Midget?
I have a set of 5 15x5.5 REAL Minilites knockoffs I may sell and wonder if they will fit. They fit the Midget wire wheel hubs for sure.

I could be wrong, but I don't think they changed the size of the hubs for any of their light weight cars. I think the only change was the thread size for the wing nut.

Thanks. They are real Minilites too.

You are correct about the only change being the thread count on the wingnuts. I believe the fine thread nuts were on real early cars.

As I recall real knock off Minilites have a shorter fatter spoke than the ones pictured. Almost all old British cars have the same splines unless you are dealing with a Jag. Bob

Remember these are 15s. I think the spoke size remained the same
on 13s and even 15s making the spokes look thinner on the 15s
and fatter on the 13s.
They clearly say "Minilite" and made in the UK on the rims.
If they are fakes somebody went to a lot of trouble to
replicate the Minilite exactly.

Once again those old days of rock and roll have taken their toll.
I thought they said Minilite...DUH....K&N wheels made in the UK.
I went and inspected the spare hanging in the garage.
No question. NOT Minilites. Still, nice wheels and maybe somebody might want them for a MGB after I install the new shoes on my Bugeye.
Having to use the adapters on the Bugeye just isn't working.
These wheels need to be on a B.

Rudge 42mm spline was used on most British cars. Threads went from fine (12tpi) to coarse (8tpi) on some, but other than the tooth count everything was identical between them. Even the spinners are the same except for the thread pitch.

Yep, the wheels will work on a MGB, and that will be the most popular market for you to sell them, your hubs are Spridget only. I've seen these wheels up close and personal, they are in "like new" condition, so who ever ends up owning them will be happy with them.
