Hello you are reading the writtings of a happy man. After many years of drooling over chrome wire wheels I finally purchased five gleaming beauties (Daytons from the TRF) to convert from the steel wheels I currently have on the TR-6. What I need is some help from local people to let me know who they trust to install new tires and not dent, ding, scratch or even breathe wrong on my new wheels. I appreciate all your help.

Oh my... those disc wheels make life simpler but wires are just oh so British.

Will you shorten the studs or use a 6mm spacer? I went with a spacer so I can switch back and forth sharing one set of wires among 2 TRs. Have not had any problem with the spacer approach though some are wary of them.

Can't help you with your actual question other than to suggest that the the local club - BAOA - would probably have some opinions. Let me know if you need a name/email contact for BAOA.

Good luck! And post a few pics. I keep trying to talk my wife into new wires for our car. So far all I've got is new ignition wires....

Not local, but if you're willing to ship, there is no better wheel/tire shop that Hendrix Wire Wheels in Greensboro NC. Take a look at their web site:

Their prep work is nothing short of amazing. Too bad you already got your wheels, as they are a Dayton dealer and have some smoking wheel/tire package deals.

Give Alan or Jerry a call or shoot them an email, they will give you advice, as they know every wire wheel shop in the business.
